Favorite Drugstore and High-end Foundation

Hello Ladies!

I've been meaning to do this blogpost for the longest time but I can't seem to find my time to do it. So right now I will be doing favorite drugstore and high-end foundation.

Please do keep in mind that I have normal-combination skin. The only problem of my skin is hyper-pigmentation due to excessive amount of pimples/acne when I was in high school up until just last year when my skin finally found it's perfect match and I hadn't change my skincare routine since then.
I don't get huge cystic acne anymore. anyways I will do a blogpost talking about my skin care routine but right now I wanna talk about my favorite foundation.

This won't be an in-depth review, I will just talk you through it why I love these foundation.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere.

♥ First on my list is this gorgeous gorgeous foundation. Whenever I wear this foundation I always get compliments about my skin. I once got a compliment from a friend saying "nagpa-belo ka ba?" I was like "WTH? hahaha" That's how amazing this foundation is.
♥ This is great for oily skin and it is great for humid, sticky weather like here in Philippines.
♥ I don't know if you can get this here haven't check in Rustan's but I think they have it.
♥ Perfection Lumiere has a medium to full coverage.
♥ The staying power of this one is great. The longest time I wore this is probably 8hours in a very very hot humid weather. So I think this one can last a lot longer than 8hours.

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua

♥ This one is another high-end foundation and another amazing product. I found this probably more than a year ago and I fell in love with it the moment I tried it on my face.
It is very very light foundation but have a very very amazing coverage. It is like magic foundation, It can cover your problem areas but you can still see your skin picking through, if you get what I mean.
♥ It is great for dry or combination skin, If you have oily skin I think you have to use a primer and
set it with powder.
♥ The staying power of Vitalumier isn't that great like the Perfection Lumiere. But you can still get atleast 4-5hours in a humid Philippines weather.

Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation

♥ This is one of the few foundations I wont recommend for oily skin. It is very very creamy and it can slide off of your face at the end of the day.
♥ The coverage is light to medium. It can get a little bit cakey on my skin and I don't know why is that because this foundation is great for dry skin.
♥ Staying power isn't that great too.
♥ This can also transfer in to your clothes especially if your wear a white top with collar expect it to transfer on your clothes. So if I knew I will be wearing shirt with collars I won't be using this.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation.

♥ Another foundation that is made for dy skin. This one is much better and a lot cheaper than the Laura Mercier one so why bother spent your money, right?
♥ Coverage is medium build-able.
♥ Staying power is 5-6hours without blotting.
♥ As for availability I don't know if you can get this here in Philippines.
I got mine when I was in Kuwait.

Etude House Sun BB cream SPF 50+/PA+++

♥ I know this isn't foundation but I used it as a foundation so I included it.
♥ I love this BB cream. That is all I can say about this. Out of all BB cream's I've tried *bare in mind I've tried A LOT* this has been my favorite.
♥ Coverage wise, well it is a BB cream so what do you expect? but I can get a medium coverage out of it. I don't even need a concealer when I use this expect for the undereye area.
♥ Staying power wise, love how it can give me 6hours without blotting.
♥ Price Php 978.00, well it is a little bit expensive but I think it is worth it.

Revlon Colorstay liquid and whipped foundation.

♥ Lastly is this 2 amazing foundation. This two is great for Philippines' weather and for oily skins. Colorstay line from Revlon is just amazing. I also love the Colorstay blemish concealer.
♥ Staying power is great, Coverage is great.
♥ It can get a little cakey on my skin, just because as I've said I have normal skin.
♥ I can't remember the price but I think it can range from 900-1000 *I think, don't quote me on this*.

So yeah, that is it girls.
I hope you enjoyed this blog post if you are in a hunt for new foundation I definitely recommend any of that, specially the Chanel one. If you can splurge on something that you will use on your face definitely go for the Chanel Perfection Lumiere.

If you have any question please do tweet me at @mhielnah, facebook, or even email me.

What is your favorite foundation? Comment below if you have any recommendations for me!

  2. Have you tried EnCara BB Cream? Many beauty bloggers love it! Celline of Product Arena by Celline08 even included it in her list as the best BB cream that she tried of 2012. You should try it too, Ms Milna! :)

The products above are.. so expensive. My foundation is just a foundation cake, Kokuryu Cake Foundation in Orange Blush in particular. It just cost me 90 to 100 pesos :) I hope someday I can try any of these foundations too ^^
